By combining surface design and embellishment, he was able to translate the image of various sea creatures into wearable evening garments. Each garment displays intricate hand detailing as well as original hand dyed patterns. Swishing beads or flowing ruffles apart of the garments are used to capture the essence of the moving ocean and its traveling creatures.

The Rataxodile is made of two different gauges of wire and is named for Rataxus (the rhinoceros villain of the Babar books) and a crocodile. The sculpture is approximately four feet long and is intended to be a prototype of a hypothetical creature. The wire grid is analogous to the grid in a three-dimensional computer model.
