B.S. in Apparel Design, Institute of Light Industry, China; M.F.A. in Textile Arts & Costume Design, UC Davis. Courses taught: apparel design, product development, and fashion illustration.
Adele has worked in the fashion industry for over 5 years in China and previously taught at California State University, Sacramento. As an apparel designer and textile artist, she explores the meaning of figuring human beings through dressing process as social responses. Her work bridges artistic creation to wearable challenges while analyzing the relationship between body forms and textile medium. She illustrated fashion figures for the book “California Couture” and has her design published in the American Craft magazine.
Adele also works in the design collection that serves as teaching and research resource for the design faculty, students, as well as the community.
